We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our products throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular audits of production areas to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all products produced, including traceability records.
- Initiate quality holds and document production paperwork related to quality and food safety.
- Perform swabbing and testing to ensure cleanliness and compliance with product specifications.
- Calibrate quality equipment and execute hold actions and disposition for substandard product.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide quality leadership to production operators.
- Perform analysis on finished product and raw meat samples, and enter results into the database.
- Manage documentation for the Supplier Complaint program and incoming ingredients and materials.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months experience in a manufacturing facility, preferably in food processing or QA/Laboratory.
- Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of GMPs and food safety issues.
- Ability to work with little supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic skills in using email, Microsoft Word, Excel, SAP, and Sample Management software.
