PacifiCorp is seeking a highly skilled Safety Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for administering programs and functions related to safety, health, and regulation compliance in our wind generation operations.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate the effectiveness of strategies to reduce risks and improve safety performance.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and follow up on activities to prevent future occurrences.
- Provide expert advice and counsel on safety, health, and regulation compliance matters.
- Assist with facility safety committees, plant safety administrators, and other personnel in conducting pilot projects and safety-related initiatives.
- Conduct and report statistical analysis and trends on safety performance.
- Establish and maintain a proactive monitoring and auditing system.
- Maintain a safety inventory and provide support on occupational health and industrial hygiene issues.
- Conduct safety training and education programs, and demonstrate the use of safety equipment.
- Prepare monthly safety reporting activities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of three years of experience in Industrial Health, Safety, or a related field.
- Proficient knowledge of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and practices, including federal, state, and local laws and OSHA standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to consult and resolve internal or external customer issues.
- Ability to work with all organizational levels and work as a member of a team.
- Ability to develop alternatives, standards, or practices within defined areas.
- Proficient with the use of personal computers, including spreadsheet, database, word processing, and presentation applications.
- Analysis, assessment, and investigation skills to determine recommendations or plans of action.
- Ability to work at heights and climb wind turbines repeatedly during a day.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly during a day.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.
- State, federal, or regulatory certifications or licensing.
- Experience working in a power plant, process plant, or manufacturing facility.
- Knowledge of wind power plant operations and plant systems.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations.
This position is eligible for an annual discretionary performance incentive bonus. PacifiCorp offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health care, retirement, paid time off, tuition assistance, paid short-term and long-term disability, and paid bereavement leave.
