Job Profile

The Rental Coordinator position is a key role within the Cat Rental Store, responsible for providing administrative support and coordination of rental sales. Reporting to the Cat Rental Store Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with the Rental Asset Manager, assist Rental Sales Representatives with rental transactions and orders, including customer contacts, pricing, inventory availability, coordination of transportation/shipping, and service requests. The Rental Coordinator will also be responsible for renting equipment/attachments and selling accessories at the rental counter or by phone.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and a college degree in business, sales, or construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Reconciling electronic charge transactions
  • Answering telephone calls and directing them to the correct individuals or departments
  • Assisting customers with their inquiries
  • Developing sales proposals and presentations from customer inquiries
  • Maintaining adequate product knowledge of equipment and Allied products
  • Researching equipment, parts, or Allied products to meet specialized customer requirements
  • Responding to customer inquiries regarding equipment and Allied products
  • Scheduling, dispatching, and routing vehicles for the transport of equipment and Allied products
  • Supporting sales staff with demonstration and sales agreements
  • Coordinating with shop staff regarding repair status and availability of equipment

Safety and Customer Satisfaction

The Rental Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment and maintaining a clean, professional personal appearance at all times. The successful candidate will also be expected to respond to all customer requests in a professional and courteous manner, maintaining a positive attitude and a high level of personal credibility and integrity with customers, management, and dealership co-workers.

Business and Work Conditions

The Rental Coordinator will be required to work independently and/or as part of a team, maintaining a clean, safe working environment and communicating effectively, verbally and in writing. The successful candidate will be expected to work well under occasional pressure or within work standards and deadlines, meeting all eligibility requirements to drive Company vehicles, including a current, valid driver's license issued by the resident State, and maintaining current motor vehicle liability insurance.

Physical Requirements

The Rental Coordinator will be required to pass a pre-employment background check, physical exam, including a drug screen, and meet all physical requirements for the position. The successful candidate will be able to lift up to 20-50 pounds occasionally.
