Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a CareerSource Customer Service Representative II. In this role, you will provide exceptional support to job seekers, assisting them in accessing and utilizing our services to achieve their employment goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized support to job seekers, addressing their needs and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Assist job seekers in accessing and utilizing our services, including Employ Florida, Microsoft Office, and other software programs.
  • Monitor and coordinate the delivery of customer service, ensuring that job seekers receive timely and effective support.
  • Inform job seekers of available services in the office, including resume assistance, labor market information, and career counseling.
  • Support Welcome Desk activities and track candidate traffic through the Atlas kiosk/Virtual One Stop (VOS) Greeter.
  • Provide qualifying and appropriate services, including resume assistance, labor market information, assessments, interviewing assistance, referral to education, orientation to services, Employ Florida training and support, as well as career counseling.
  • Document all referrals, services, and follow-up activities in Employ Florida (EF) in accordance with established Local Operating Procedures.
  • Engage in information exchange, ensuring that job candidates are aware of and know how to access the full menu of reemployment services.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of customer service experience; or any equivalent combination of related training and experience.
  • Considerable knowledge of computer programs, including Employ Florida, Microsoft Office, and other software programs.
  • Knowledge of local business community and CareerSource practices.
  • Excellent skill in interpersonal communication, public relations, computer data entry, time management, and work organization.
  • Skills in communication, both oral and written, and telephone and customer service.
  • Skill in basic sales techniques.

Work Environment

The work environment is moderately quiet, and the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear.
