Senior Service Specialist

First Horizon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Service Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Default Servicing department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to delinquent or imminent default real estate borrowers. Your primary goal will be to assist these customers through the loss mitigation servicing process, ensuring a seamless experience and helping them navigate complex financial situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Model high levels of empathy and sensitivity when communicating with customers, providing personalized solutions to their unique challenges.
- Cross-collaborate with inter-department teams and other business lines to resolve customer issues and maintain a sense of urgency.
- Review borrower information and submit applications to underwriting, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Foster a positive team environment and communicate effectively with a diverse population of borrowers.
- Handle all situations professionally and ethically, escalating special situations as necessary.
- Meet quality control and data integrity standards, utilizing required systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements:
- College graduate or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in banking, consumer lending operations, or customer service.
- Strong knowledge of consumer banking, mortgage loans, credit bureaus, real estate, and income calculations.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and evaluate situations to make appropriate business decisions.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
