Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Specialist to join our team at Hoffman & Hoffman Inc. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and programming DDC Systems, creating project design packages, and collaborating with sales and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and prioritize design projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project requirements.
  • Prepare and submit design packages, including wiring diagrams, sequence of operation, and bill of materials.
  • Coordinate the turnover of design packages to project management, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Develop and implement programming projects, analyzing workload timelines and understanding project requirements.
  • Prepare and test DDC programs, creating full documentation and organizing turnover to technicians.
  • Ensure proper system operability by assisting in on-site performance verification and making site visits as needed.
  • Complete design and programming packages, archiving design backups and distributing completed As-built documentation.
  • Maintain industry technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, and staying up-to-date on proper electrical and mechanical installation methods.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical knowledge of DDC Systems and building automation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Willingness to travel and work with high-profile customers.
