Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our team at American House Senior Living Communities. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medication assistance to residents in accordance with state regulations and company policy.
  • Provide assistance to residents in maintaining their highest level of functional independence and psychosocial wellness.
  • Assume responsibility for accurate medication counts and for security of the medication cart and medication storage room.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures related to controlled substances, narcotic count, and documentation.
  • Use sound nursing judgment to evaluate changes in resident situations and report to the Wellness Director and/or physician when appropriate.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of nursing experience preferably with experience in long-term care or geriatrics.
  • Experience with dementia residents preferred.
  • Up-to-date first aid and CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of older adults.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
  • Exceptional staff training and customer service skills.
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
