Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to lead our Infusion Centers at Sentara Norfolk General and Sentara Independence. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for the daily operations of one or more clinical areas, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient department operations.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards of care to promote quality patient outcomes and improve patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based practices and improve patient care.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities to staff members.
  • Manage department budgets, including payroll, purchasing, and supply costs, to ensure fiscal responsibility and efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and excellence in patient care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Three years of relevant RN nursing leadership experience required.
  • Strong clinical care knowledge base in area of expertise required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field.
  • Experience in oncology and infusion services.
  • Certification in a relevant specialty, such as oncology or infusion nursing.
