Key Responsibilities
Facilitates all assessments requested by emergency room physicians or attending doctors regarding psychiatric or substance use issues. Conducts age-appropriate mental health evaluations for potential clients and directs them to suitable services.
- Delivers crisis assessments in medical/surgical facilities.
- Engages in the assessment process.
- Coordinates and executes the transfer or referral procedures.
- Acts as a liaison among physicians, patients, and the hospital.
- Maintains accurate records, logs, and reports as required.
- Provides crisis intervention services for all age demographics.
- Complies with hospital policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates a commitment to ethical conduct and company values.
- Performs additional duties as necessary.
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Master's Degree in a relevant field.
- Must possess one of the following licenses: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor Intern, Registered Nurse, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Professional Counselor Associate.
