Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Crisis Services Department as a RN Crisis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary treatment team, and contributing to the development of effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Provide medication management and oversight to unlicensed staff, ensuring adherence to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Document patient interactions and progress in the electronic health record, maintaining accurate and timely records.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional customer service, trauma-informed care, and safety practices in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms.
  • Working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • High level of advocacy, arbitration, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in Behavioral Health: psychiatric/mental health nursing or substance use disorder nursing.
