Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Crisis Interventionist III to join our team at MHMR Tarrant. As a key member of our crisis intervention team, you will be responsible for providing emergency services and crisis intervention to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and determine the best course of action to address ongoing needs and track progress toward recovery goals.
  • Coordinate emergency and case management services with community partners, including law enforcement, to ensure continuity of care and crisis follow-up.
  • Exercise clinical judgment to mitigate crises for individuals served by MHMR Tarrant and community partners, in accordance with clinical supervision and agency training.
  • Complete all clinical documentation within instructed time intervals and agency parameters.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings to determine the best course of action and track progress toward recovery goals.
  • Provide support and reassurance to other programs within Crisis Services as needed.
  • Provide peer-to-peer training as instructed by the supervisor.
  • Perform administrative tasks as delegated by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Health or Human Services.
  • One and a half (1.5) years of experience in a related field, such as Health and Human Services.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License and eligibility to obtain Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-CS) certification.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms.
  • Knowledge of mental health assessment techniques and principles of crisis intervention.
  • High level of advocacy, arbitration, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
