Froedtert South is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and minor special radiographic procedures in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Radiographic Equipment: Operate all radiographic and ancillary equipment associated with the performance of routine and minor special radiographic procedures, including bedside and surgical examinations.
- Ensure Radiation Safety: Recognize and report equipment malfunctions and ensure radiation safety protocols are followed.
- Utilize Proper Techniques: Utilize proper radiographic and positioning techniques to maximize radiographic quality and minimize repeat images.
- Assist with Special Procedures: Assist radiologists and other physicians with fluoroscopic and other special procedures.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Appropriately label radiographs, record pertinent clinical information, and identify trauma sites.
- Education: Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited certification program in Radiologic Technology.
- Experience: Radiology Technologist: Entry Level.
- Licenses/Certifications: Licensure to be eligible to practice as a Licensed Radiographer in the State of Wisconsin. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T) registered. Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 6 weeks of hire.
