Radiologic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Advocate Health. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic exams.
Key Responsibilities- Competently perform radiographic procedures, including positioning patients and selecting exposure factors.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and obtaining clinical history.
- Identify patient and label images, ensuring exam accuracy and quality.
- Assist radiologists and prepare records in accordance with regulatory agencies.
- Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, requiring lifting and pushing/pulling.
- Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
- Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to stand/walk for majority of the day.
May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards as well as blood and body fluids; therefore, personal protective equipment must be worn as necessary.
