Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Dosher Memorial Hospital. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for operating computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' internal organs and tissues
  • Administer contrast materials and prepare patients for imaging procedures
  • Position patients to capture the appropriate images following established protocols
  • Verify patient identification and physician's orders prior to performing any procedures
  • Start and maintain IV access for CT procedures
  • Calculate, prepare, and administer proper contrast as prescribed by authorized physicians
  • Use PACS systems properly to send and receive images
  • Troubleshoot equipment and communicate needed information to the Director
  • Assist in the clinical training of student Technologists
  • Prepare patient studies for interpretation by the interpreting physician
  • Keep imaging areas neat, clean, and supplies stocked
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and safety
  • Stay up-to-date on knowledge of techniques, skills, current practices, and regulations appropriate to the age of the patient served
  • Maintain equipment and room in good operating condition
  • Attend Radiation safety training per protocol
  • Adhere to Dosher Memorial Hospital's Standards of Behavior
  • Attend hospital in-service programs and department meetings
  • Work in the spirit of teamwork
  • Perform duties of a Radiological Technologist or assist in other areas as needed
Requirements
  • Graduate of a formal Accredited School of Radiological Technology
  • Registered as a Radiological Technician by the ARRT or Registry eligible (Must pass registry within 6 months of hire)
  • Advanced certification as a registered CT Technologist as established by the ARRT
  • Maintains licensure/certification through continuing education
  • BLS Certified
