Job Overview

Position Summary:
This role is essential for managing the acquisition of products, crafting engaging descriptions, capturing high-quality images, and uploading them to the online platforms of Goodwill Industries. The position also involves responding to customer inquiries, delivering exceptional customer service, and overseeing the tracking of online inventory. Additionally, the associate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and ensuring all necessary documentation is in order while keeping a tidy and safe workspace.

Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED is required. Candidates should possess one to three months of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
The following duties are essential to the role:

  • Adhere to the policies and procedures set forth by Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest.

E-Book Management:

  • Receive donated books from various sources for digitization.
  • Scan books for online listings while maintaining proficiency in the software used for E-Book processing.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Amazon and eBay is necessary.
  • Organize books, audio media, and DVDs appropriately.
  • Address customer inquiries and follow up on any complaints as directed.
  • Track shipments using individual tracking numbers.
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate customer issues to management promptly.

Specialty Items and Jewelry:

  • Possess knowledge of precious metals, gemstones, and synthetic materials.
  • Recognize brand stamps, including high-end, vintage, and trendy items.
  • Learn to operate jewelry testing equipment effectively.
  • Utilize computer software for image uploads and information gathering.
  • Demonstrate photography skills to capture detailed images of items.

Online Auction Management:

  • Stay informed about antiques and marketable merchandise.
  • Create precise and concise descriptions for items listed on auction sites.
  • Upload images and descriptions to the appropriate online platforms.
  • Return unsold merchandise as instructed.
  • Organize listed items and retrieve sold items as necessary.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service for all stakeholders.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
