Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team at Cummins Inc. in Spokane, WA. As a key member of our distribution center, you will be responsible for receiving, handling, and storing goods in a factory or warehouse setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Under supervision, follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, and dispatch goods.
  • Receive incoming goods, inspect for damage, and verify discrepancies between goods and invoices.
  • Accurately sort, label, and store goods, optimizing warehouse space.
  • Pick, pack, and dispatch incoming and outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
  • Perform cycle counts, prepare bills of lading, and utilize computer software.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving.
  • Ability to physically lift 50 pounds occasionally and wear required personal protective equipment.

Education, Licenses, and Certifications

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

Certification to operate powered industrial vehicles and/or other heavy machinery is required.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

  • Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
  • Picking up shop parts from service vendors.
  • Delivering customer orders.
  • Picking orders.
  • Use of forklift.
  • Core processing.
  • Focus on safety.
  • Walking/standing 8 hours a day.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds.
  • Pull parts for service orders.
  • Take parts out of receiving and put them into stock.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.

Salary Range

Base salary: $39,200 - $58,800.
