Job Title: International Air Freight Vice President

We are seeking an experienced International Air Freight Vice President to join our team at Radiant Global Logistics Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing international air pricing and services, conducting market research, and developing new services to keep the company competitive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor carrier performance and compliance, communicating results to management staff and carriers regularly.
  • Research, develop, and implement policies and procedures covering rate negotiation and purchase of international air transportation and associated service providers.
  • Support large volumes RFQ responses with offices and tender team.
  • Evaluate carrier pricing proposals and negotiate service provider agreements.
  • Collaborate with international product head and legal to review and execute final carriers' agreements.
  • Coordinate with offices to enhance competitiveness and performance.
  • Work closely with international agent strategic partners globally to develop international air service offerings.
  • Analyze transportation cost structures and develop strategic solutions to reduce costs and improve margins.
  • Establish proactive communication with carriers and identify transportation costs, mode capacity, service levels, and make recommendations to improve effectiveness.
  • Direct implementation and execution of carrier pricing policies and practices throughout the organization.
  • Create weekly KPI and dashboard measurements for the product.
  • Escalate service claims for customers and carriers as required.
  • Assist RVPs and station managers with operational personnel training needs.
  • Develop and implement the approved carrier list by location and service.
  • Stay abreast of industry and regulatory trends and communicate the impact to management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in international air freight forwarding, with a minimum of 3 years in a management role.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with PowerPoint a plus.
  • Strong analysis, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Management/air product experience, with a well-organized and self-directed individual.
  • Experienced in both tactical and strategic roles, with strong leadership qualities.
  • Requires advanced international air experience in both import and export.
  • Strong understanding of consolidation/gateway and inbound break-bulk programs and processes.
  • Intelligent and articulate, able to relate to people at all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a decisive and big-picture perspective.
  • Well-versed in systems, with hands-on experience in gateway operations a major plus.
