Our expertise lies in the production of steel petroleum storage tanks and bulk oil dispensing solutions, alongside the distribution of essential accessory equipment. As we continue to grow and adapt in a dynamic market, we are in search of a dedicated professional for the position of Receivables Management Specialist within our West Memphis office. This role is pivotal in ensuring the timely collection of payments and the maintenance of precise financial documentation.
A successful candidate will efficiently and effectively:
- Review and process customer invoices to guarantee accuracy and completeness
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts and proactively follow up with clients for payment
- Engage in collection efforts for outstanding customer accounts
- Reconcile any discrepancies between received payments and outstanding balances
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of new clients and establish appropriate credit limits
- Accurately record payments to customer accounts
- Investigate and resolve any payment disputes or discrepancies
- Distribute monthly statements to customers
- Manage customer deposits and perform reconciliations with credit card transactions
- Oversee tank registrations
- Maintain customer sales tax exemptions in the Avalara system
- File documentation as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with Sage 100 ERP software is a plus
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Robust numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
