About the Role:

As a key member of the Zero Hero team, the Corporate Sustainability Director will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainability-related strategies and plans that showcase our company's commitment to reducing our environmental footprint.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support the implementation of sustainability strategies that align with our company's goals and objectives.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in one or more sustainability areas, including environmental regulations and compliance.
  • Promote thought leadership through industry conferences and publications on sustainability best practices.
  • Provide guidance on reducing corporate environmental footprint through sustainable products and technologies.
  • Assess compliance with environmental regulations and provide recommendations on maintaining compliance.
  • Promote sustainable practices and technologies internally and for our clients.
  • Identify and participate in opportunities for stakeholder engagement and communication on sustainability initiatives.
  • Oversee the tracking and reporting on our environmental performance and progress towards sustainability goals.
  • Research and provide recommendations on how to integrate sustainability into business operations and improve our environmental performance.
  • Promote environmental stewardship within our company and the larger community.
  • Monitor and make recommendations on our continuous improvement and innovation as it relates to sustainability.
  • Demonstrate and quantify the business value of our sustainability efforts and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or environmental-related sciences (sustainability, chemistry, biology, marine, weather, etc.).
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in a design, construction, sustainability, environmental, or related role.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a sustainability-specific role.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a leadership role participating in the development of strategic plans and overseeing implementation of sustainability initiatives.
