Job Summary

PrideStaff is seeking an experienced and skilled Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable professional to join our team in Vista, CA. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient processing of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including matching, batching, coding, and check printing.
  • Process complex purchase orders, inventory 3-way matching, and new vendor set-ups.
  • Reconcile vendor cards and maintain accurate historical records.
  • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
  • Maintain vendor files and confidentiality of organizational information.

Accounts Receivable Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data.
  • Prepare billing, invoices, and bank deposits.
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Verify discrepancies and resolve clients' billing issues.
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
  • Provide an in-depth analysis of chargebacks to help with disputes.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of AP/AR and/or general accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of general AP/AR processes and procedures.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently.
  • Advanced ability to prioritize and attention to detail.
  • Take ownership of tasks through completion.
  • Excel/computer skills.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop or similar software experience.
  • Proficient in data entry and management.
