Procurement Technician Job Description

Cape Fox Federal Contracting Group is seeking a skilled Procurement Technician to support our team in Bethesda, MD in collaboration with the NIH.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with purchasing agents to prepare statements of work, justifications, and post solicitations on FedBizOps.
  • Work closely with end-users to resolve issues with orders, including checking order status, arranging returns, and ensuring timely receiving and payment.
  • Document all files related to order issues through memorandums or emails.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to clarify invoice discrepancies and shipping issues.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, and enter data into spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
  • File procurement documentation and purchase orders, and maintain accurate records.
  • Enter data into SAI and DCIS reporting systems for each order, adhering to regulations.
  • Maintain purchase order files, both current and closed, and perform closeout procedures in accordance with GSA and NIH records disposition schedules.
  • Process travel orders for RML Purchasing staff, including generating travel orders and vouchers upon return, and making arrangements through the NIH Travel Coordinator.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of four years of related experience.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) and database management.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with minimal oversight.
