Job Summary

AECOM/Hunt is seeking an experienced Superintendent with expertise in baggage handling mechanics for our ongoing project at JFK in Queens, NYC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overall on-site administrative and technical management for a wide range of construction projects.
  • Responsible for the organization and direction of construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility.
  • May be the primary client contact for all jobsite day-to-day activities or may coordinate with client's resident representatives on jobsite activities within assigned area of operations.
  • Ensure assigned jobsite operations are in compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Interfaces with all other administrative field staff, field management staff, and particularly the Project Manager in a coordinated effort.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Requirement: BS Engineering or related curriculum and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Preferred Requirements:
    • 6-10 years of experience as a construction Superintendent.
    • Experience working in construction with baggage handling/conveyor mechanics.
    • Experience managing subcontracted labor.
    • Experience with construction documentation.
    • Experience in managing large complex construction projects.
    • Ability to interact collaboratively across all teams.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word).
    • Experience with various construction-related technologies.
    • In order to receive a security badge at the client worksite for which you are being hired to perform services, you will be required to pass the client's security screening process to include SWAC (Secure Worker Access Consortium) and/or SIDA (Identification Display Area) and fingerprinting, which will be done after you have commenced employment and is a condition of your continued employment.
