Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Applications Support professional to join our team at Saracen Casino Resort. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our critical business applications, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support all essential business applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Complete work requests as directed by the Applications Support Manager, including user access security administration and coordinating work with users.
  • Receive and respond to incoming requests/trouble tickets regarding problems with application security and related application equipment.
  • Research enhancements to applications, identifying benefits and concerns that could affect the company's current processes and procedures.
  • Make recommendations for the timing and implementation plan for upgrades, and lead the implementation of upgrades when required.
  • Ensure all application equipment is in good working order and functioning properly.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons, communicating in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with department personnel for IT-related issues and present viable solutions.
  • Maintain all hardware and software for processes according to security requirements and maintain logs of all issues.
  • Participate in the installation, operation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of various systems and related hardware.
  • Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • Attend all necessary training meetings.
  • Assist with other projects as needed.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Train team members on new software.
  • Participate in an on-call schedule.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Work with IT support personnel, end users, and vendors to resolve system issues.
  • Provide input to hardware sizing and specification of system requirements to ensure a high level of performance and reliability.
  • Work in conjunction with IT Operations to ensure complete and thorough backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures are in place for critical business applications and systems.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or Business Administration from a four-year college or university.
  • One to three years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Superior computer skills and proficiency in software applications currently in use by the company.
  • Minimum of one year's experience with business applications in Gaming, Finance, Retail, Human Resources, and/or Hospitality industry preferred but not required.
  • Working knowledge of application programming, system architecture, and database design.
Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Physical Demands

The Associate will frequently lift, move, or carry up to twenty-five (25) pounds.

Occasionally the Associate may lift, move, or carry more than fifty (50) pounds.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate encounter while performing the functions of this job.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

When on the casino floor or other designated areas may encounter tobacco smoke and/or bright flashing lights.
