Job Summary

As a Field Assistant with Renaissance Food Group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the compliance of growers with our Farm Food Safety and Good Agricultural Practices Programs. Your daily tasks will include conducting inspections, recording observations, and reporting to your supervisor. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections of papaya orchards to ensure compliance with food safety and good agricultural practices.
  • Perform weekly cleaning and sanitation tasks, including restocking of farm toilets, handwashing stations, and tool sanitation sprays.
  • Conduct field maintenance inspections to identify and address any issues.
  • Provide feedback to growers on food safety, fruit quality, and good agricultural practices.
  • Follow all company rules and policies, including safety regulations.
  • Follow all food safety and good manufacturing practices.
  • Promptly report any violations or potential problems to your supervisor.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of all equipment and report any issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience working in agricultural operations is preferred.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of food safety and safe work practices common to the trades.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to perform and lead the essential functions of the job.
  • Ability to use a computer and navigate through in-house software.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write clearly, including the ability to communicate work issues in a clear and professional manner.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member, with a high level of dependability and work ethic.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn food safety regulations and good agricultural practices.
  • Commitment to the company's values and ethics.
Pay and Benefits
