Job Summary

Flatiron Construction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Supervisor to lead our heavy pipe installation team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising crew members, including direct employees and subcontracted employees, to ensure the successful completion of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct crew members to ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Monitor work progress and certify team hours for on-site payroll.
  • Delegate tasks and accountabilities, and instructs, leads, and supervises crew members.
  • Directly involved with hiring, orientation, training, coaching, performance management, and employment decisions related to crew members.
  • Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met.
  • Supervise the crew's use of machinery and equipment, and ensures adequate resources are available.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in the heavy pipe industry, including water, sewer, and storm drainage installation, and general civil construction.
  • Ability to build trench boxes, set boxes, and plates.
  • Install deep and heavy pipe and structures using dewatering systems.
  • Must be 18 years in age or older.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Strongly prefer candidates with a High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a construction supervisory role preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge and working experience of DOT standards and regulations preferred.
  • Able to communicate effectively with workers and subcontractors.
  • Able to work overtime and be flexible with hours (day/night).
