Job Title: Clinical Faculty

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced clinical faculty member to join our team at Kansas Health Science University. As a clinical faculty member, you will play a critical role in the education and training of our students, providing them with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in their future careers.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver a medical curriculum for obstetrics and women's health, including pre-clinical and clinical courses.
  • Present common obstetrical and women's health presentations to students, and participate in small group discussions.
  • Develop syllabus for clinical rotation in obstetrics and women's health, and collaborate with the clinical skills education team to develop and facilitate osteopathic clinical skills courses.
  • Assist with interviewing and hiring of department faculty, and participate in the peer evaluation of department faculty.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Dean of Outcomes & Assessment on all evaluation of all courses, laboratory, service and scholarly activities.
  • Participate in student interviewing, mentorship, and career counseling, and foster a positive culture amongst students, faculty, and staff.
  • Assist the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in accreditation functions, including document creation, data collection, data entry, education of faculty on accreditation, and other accreditation-related functions.
Qualifications:
  • A DO or MD degree with appropriate experience.
  • Current, unrestricted medical license.
  • Current Board Certification in specialty.
  • Good standing with all regulatory and governmental boards and agencies.
  • Experience using innovative teaching methods, including team-based learning, 'flipped classroom', problem-based learning, distance learning, interactive large group presentation, audience response systems, curriculum delivery systems, and proficiency in exam item writing.
  • A substantial record of success as an educator, and of managing personnel.
  • Experience in publication/national presentations.
