Job Title: Adjunct Nursing Faculty

Galen College of Nursing is seeking a dedicated and passionate Adjunct Nursing Faculty member to play a vital role in shaping the next generation of nurses. As an Adjunct Nursing Faculty, you will teach, mentor, and guide students in their academic journey, facilitating learning and learner development.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement curriculum that reflects current nursing and healthcare trends, ensuring students achieve desired learning outcomes.
  • Use information technologies and eLearning technology to support the teaching-learning process, creating an engaging and interactive learning environment.
  • Provide resources to students to meet their individual learning needs, helping them develop as nurses and achieve their career goals.
  • Collaborate with faculty and preceptors to promote continuity between all components of the course, ensuring a seamless learning experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively facilitate learning and learner development, creating an environment that fosters student growth and achievement.
  • Implement a variety of teaching strategies appropriate to learner needs, desired learner outcomes, content, and context, ensuring students achieve their full potential.
  • Use assessment and evaluation strategies to assess and evaluate student learning, analyzing data to inform instruction and improve student outcomes.
  • Participate in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring the curriculum reflects established professional standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a culture of excellence and continuous quality improvement, ensuring the program meets the highest standards.

Requirements:

  • Active, current, unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse in the applicable state.
  • Minimum of a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Degree in Progress.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Physical/Mental Demands and Work Environment: Sedentary work with occasional lifting and/or carrying of records, files, and books (10 pounds maximum).
