As the Fitness Studio Operations Leader at Basecamp Fitness, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and overseeing a vibrant studio team dedicated to inspiring and empowering individuals to achieve their health and fitness goals. Your leadership will be essential in executing operational strategies, business practices, and sales methodologies that contribute to the growth and success of our boutique fitness environment.
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Multi Unit Operator or Owner.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Culture
- Recruit, hire, and onboard Assistant Studio Managers and Ambassadors.
- Develop and manage the studio's staff schedule.
- Collaborate with the studio team to enhance processes and deliver an exceptional experience for our members.
- Plan and execute staff training, along with ongoing coaching and development to ensure high performance.
- Conduct performance management activities, including goal setting and career development discussions.
- Act as a mentor to Assistant Studio Managers and provide support to all studio employees.
- Foster a sense of community among team members through positive engagement and personal connections.
- Deliver a world-class, member-focused experience that enhances member relationships and retention.
- Encourage a high-energy studio culture through contests and motivational incentives.
- Facilitate inspiring team meetings to build trust and accountability across the staff.
- Lead regular sales meetings and participate in all required training sessions.
- Model exemplary studio practices through active involvement.
Sales Management
- Oversee the sales process to exceed sales targets while adhering to budget constraints.
- Coordinate initial and ongoing sales initiatives, including promotional events and community outreach.
Business Operations
- Meet defined performance metrics related to customer service, revenue, inventory, payroll, and operational costs.
- Monitor financial reports and utilize data to address performance gaps.
- Conduct payroll audits to ensure accuracy during each cycle.
- Ensure compliance with business policies in daily operations.
- Maintain consistency in branding across all studio activities.
- Prioritize performance issues to enhance profitability.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm and a passion for health and fitness, embodying the brand lifestyle.
- Builds rapport with diverse individuals and personalities.
- Thrives in sales-driven roles with a focus on achieving performance goals.
- Exhibits strong leadership qualities and management skills to foster a positive environment.
- Possesses excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Creative and forward-thinking, capable of executing strategic plans.
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Detail-oriented with a willingness to accept coaching and feedback.
- Adept at learning new computer systems and managing social media engagement.
- College degree or related 2+ years of management experience preferred.
- 3+ years of management experience in boutique fitness strongly preferred.
- 3-4+ years of sales experience required.
- 3+ years of direct staff management experience required.
- 2+ years of community outreach experience preferred.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Flexible availability for day, evening, and weekend hours based on studio needs.
Full Time: 32-36 hours per week
Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year plus bonuses and paid time off.
