Job Title: Fitness Instructor

Basecamp Fitness - Bellingham is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Fitness Instructor to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Fitness Instructor to deliver high-energy interval and resistance training workouts to our members. As a Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for creating a positive and motivating environment that encourages our members to reach their fitness goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver pre-designed interval and resistance training workouts to groups of up to 36 members per session
  • Modify exercises to accommodate various skill levels and ensure the safety of participants
  • Attend mandatory 2-day coaches course and complete audition
  • Facilitate the studio's class schedule to ensure scheduling optimization and build and maintain class size
  • Attend monthly fitness staff meetings and required educational presentations
  • Work collaboratively with front desk staff to ensure optimal client experience
  • Must be available to coach at least one weekend per month
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Must hold and maintain our brand's Coaches Certification throughout employment
  • Preferred certifications (NCAA accredited fitness certifications) ACSM, ACE, AFAA, NASM, NCSF, NESTA, NETA, NSCA, PTAG, CI
  • Must hold and maintain a current CPR and AED certification
  • 1 year of experience leading group workouts or 1:1 personal training required
  • On-microphone teaching experience preferred
Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions
  • Flexible to work day, evening, and weekend hours based on studio needs
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs safely
  • While performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to use their hands, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk
