Operations Process Specialist

This position is based at our facility in Rancho Belago, CA.
Candidates should possess a minimum of two years' experience in a Distribution Center environment.
Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems, particularly Manhattan PKMS, is preferred.
As an Operations Process Specialist at Skechers, you will be pivotal in enhancing operational workflows that contribute to the overall efficiency of Skechers Distribution, both in the U.S. and internationally. Your responsibilities will include evaluating existing production schedules and workflows to identify opportunities for enhancement, as well as proposing methodologies or tools to boost productivity while ensuring quality standards are upheld. You will be tasked with documenting and executing new process strategies, managing resources effectively, optimizing existing workflows, and maintaining comprehensive process documentation. Additionally, you will design and develop production layouts for the warehouse to elevate productivity and quality benchmarks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assess current operational practices and pinpoint areas for continuous improvement to maximize production efficiency.
  • Construct business cases for improvement initiatives by gathering, analyzing, and presenting data that supports proposed changes.
  • Establish and uphold cost control mechanisms, proposing and implementing cost-saving measures for ongoing projects.
  • Maintain engineered labor standards through time studies, data analysis, and overseeing the implementation of changes.
  • Transform concepts into actionable plans while effectively communicating with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Adhere to best practices for addressing technical challenges, employing methods such as root cause analysis and systematic problem-solving techniques.
  • Provide support for all new projects or developing areas.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of each Distribution Center's process flows, both manual and automated, to facilitate troubleshooting and training.
  • Assist in evaluating tasks and responsibilities to effectively train personnel on new practices.
  • Contribute to the documentation and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures, including participation in Distribution Center start-ups.
  • Create and update AutoCAD production layouts in alignment with high automation standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.

  • Knowledge of Distribution systems, including WMS, LMS, and Warehouse Execution Systems (such as Blue Yonder, TZA, Manhattan, etc.).
  • Basic proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Experience with Predetermined Motion Time Systems (MOST or MTM) is advantageous.
  • Aptitude for multitasking and meeting concurrent project timelines.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, with intermediate skills in MS Excel, MS Access, and Visio.

Pay Range: $105,000 - $130,000
