Teaching at Houston Classical

Key Responsibilities of the Classical Fellow
  • Collaborate in co-teaching classrooms as needed
  • Assist with classroom management tasks
  • Design and implement standards-aligned lessons and activities
  • Provide individualized tutoring support
  • Maintain regular communication with families to support teaching staff
  • Track and record student grades and attendance
  • Perform clerical duties such as typing, photocopying educational materials, and organizing paperwork
  • Help prepare materials for bulletin boards and projects
  • Supervise students during meal times
Qualifications
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including early mornings and late evenings
  • Strong communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational abilities
