Position Overview:

As a Practical Nursing Specialist, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents while overseeing the daily nursing activities conducted by nursing assistants. Your role is crucial in ensuring that the highest standards of quality care are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.
  • Maintain and update resident care plans to reflect current needs.
  • Follow and implement physician's orders accurately.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Document comprehensive nursing notes and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Conduct daily evaluations of resident needs and report any significant findings.
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures regarding privacy and health information.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A nursing degree from an accredited institution or be in the final semester of a nursing program.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • A valid LPN license in the state or in the process of obtaining one.
