Job Summary

This position is for a strategic and hands-on leader to oversee biomedical research building operations for bench research teams and administrators at MaineHealth's flagship location. The successful candidate will provide support and act as a liaison for various operational and professional activities, including building and equipment maintenance, capital purchasing, building safety, risk management & security, improvements, cost-containment, and deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide data-driven planning, communication, and reporting on building operations goals, workflows, and budgets.
  • Lead and engage a small team of colleagues in building operations.
  • Respond to building operations issues as part of an on-call team.
  • Resolve problems of varying nature with minimal direction and in cooperation with the MaineHealth Leadership Team.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in business, administration, or a related field; or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years in high-level project management and proven leadership in business strategy development and deployment.
  • Background experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years in management experience with high-level managerial and organizational skills.
  • Ability to supervise and support employee performance.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and business/financial management acumen.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
