Job Description Summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator to lead the administration and support of SAP systems, collaborating with digital technology, security, architecture, and vendor teams to modernize ERP systems and enhance business processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, Prepare, and Install SAP Applications: Ensure seamless installation of SAP applications on company servers, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
  • Server Infrastructure Management: Create and maintain server infrastructure, ensuring balanced workloads and efficient resource allocation.
  • Software Logistics and Troubleshooting: Configure and troubleshoot software logistics, resolving installation issues and ensuring smooth system operation.
  • Backup, Restoration, and Disaster Recovery: Oversee backups, restorations, and disaster recovery for SAP servers, ensuring business continuity.
  • STMS Configuration and Printer Setup: Manage STMS configuration, printer setup, and ChaRM cycles for change management, ensuring efficient system updates.
  • Release Management: Support release management, including transport movements and documentation, ensuring smooth system updates.
  • System Refreshes and Performance Monitoring: Perform system refreshes, copies, and monitor performance, ensuring optimal system operation.
  • Add-ons, Support Packages, and System Landscapes: Apply add-ons, support packages, and configure system landscapes, ensuring optimal system performance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of professional experience, OR associate degree with 8+ years, OR high school diploma with 10+ years.
  • SAP Basis Administration Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP Basis Administration or IT application development and deployment.
  • US Government Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance.
  • Legal Authorization: Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced Experience: 10+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration and infrastructure management.
  • SAP ECC, HANA, and Oracle Databases: Experience with SAP ECC, HANA, and Oracle databases.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • ITIL Framework and Cross-Functional Team Dynamics: Familiarity with ITIL framework and cross-functional team dynamics.
  • Global Teamwork: Ability to work independently and with global teams.
  • Supply Chain Processes: Understanding of supply chain processes and openness to new ideas.
Work Environment:
  • This position is primarily onsite, requiring the employee to work from our Evendale, OH office 3 days per week. Limited remote work may be available based on business needs, but the role requires a consistent physical presence for day-to-day responsibilities.
