Job Summary

This role supports the mission of the GLOW YMCA by delivering exceptional service to members, guests, and program participants. The ideal candidate will be a team player who can build relationships, resolve membership concerns, and maintain a clean and organized lobby area.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Member Service: Provide excellent service to members, guests, and program participants, contributing to member retention.
  2. Sales and Marketing: Conduct interviews and/or tours responsive to the needs of prospective members; sell memberships.
  3. Relationship Building: Build relationships with members; help members connect with one another and the YMCA.
  4. Problem Resolution: Handle and resolve membership concerns and inform supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
  5. Policy Enforcement: Apply all YMCA policies dealing with member services.
  6. Membership Processing: Process the membership and program ID's ensuring each member's card is swiped and tracked as appropriate.
  7. Swimming Certification: Verify swimming certifications and attach wristbands to members and guests.
  8. Data Entry: Provide timely and accurate data entry of program and membership registrations.
  9. Branch Operations: Follow all opening, closing and safety procedures for the branch.
  10. Front Desk Operations: Follow all front desk financial and cash handling procedures.
  11. Building Tours: Lead building tours using the Listen First methods.
  12. Administrative Tasks: Copying, filing and other projects as assigned.
  13. Locker Room Support: May hand out locker keys and towels; may monitor the locker rooms as required.
