Scientist - Analytical and Biological Sciences Specialist

JRAD is seeking a highly qualified Scientist to support health technology development initiatives for the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H).
This role requires extensive experience in analytical chemistry, epidemiology, microbiology, or cell biology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in a versatile role, collaborating with the Government to define, execute, and oversee technology development initiatives.
- Provide on-demand proposal support and assist project leads in executing multiple advanced technology programs.
Program Analysis and Execution:
- Manage projects, identify and implement accessible technology solutions, and identify technology solutions that need to exist to solve problems.
- Coordinate program activities with team members, plan tasks, and monitor execution progress.
Oversight and Coordination:
- Support the oversight of program activity, budget, and contractor progress.
- Ensure efficient operations and timely product completion.
Contract and Acquisition Support:
- Provide contract management and acquisition support.
- Develop program briefings for Government stakeholders.
- Contribute to program plans, briefings, and technical reports.
Technical Support and Communication:
- Organize technical meetings and conferences.
- Assist in the development of technical documentation and reports.
Required Skills and Education:
- PhD in Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, Ecology, Molecular/Cellular Biology, or a related scientific field.
- 14+ years of executive level technical experience in Industry, Government, or academia
- Experience supporting advanced technology development programs in health sciences or public health
Preferred Experience:
- Extensive experience in environmental science, vector generation, molecular biology, nanotechnology, mass spectrometric data reduction, microbiome investigations/interactions, biosecurity, or infectious diseases, including AI-driven outbreak detection systems, is highly preferred.
