We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor to join our Allied Health Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of courses in the discipline area of study, including Medical Terminology, Medical Assisting, and Principles of Pharmacy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Allied Health, excellent teaching and communication skills, and experience working with diverse student populations.

Responsibilities
  • Teach college-approved courses in accordance with approved course descriptions and class schedules
  • Develop and implement curriculum and assessments to ensure student learning outcomes
  • Provide academic advising and support to students
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide committees and initiatives
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in Allied Health education
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an Allied Health or related field, certified as a Medical Assistant
  • Two years of college teaching experience and two years of professional work experience in Allied Health or a related field
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong information technology literacy skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in an Allied Health or related field
  • Experience teaching Medical Terminology, Medical Assisting, and Principles of Pharmacy
  • Experience with curriculum development and program assessment
  • Familiarity with the community college experience
  • Experience using technology to enhance the learning environment
