About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman, a leading provider of defense and aerospace solutions. As a Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of software systems that support our national security initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and unit test software code to meet project requirements
  • Collaborate with software engineers, hardware engineers, and lab testers to ensure test requirements are met
  • Develop and release engineering documentation, including software design description documents and diagrams
  • Perform model-based system engineering data analysis against requirements and interfaces for each software build
  • Interface with hardware-in-the-loop testers and systems engineers in support of verification
  • Software integration, regression, and verification testing, including checkout in system test labs
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in software development, with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with a re-investigation date occurring in the last 6 years
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in software development in C/C++, Python, Linux, and object-oriented programming concepts
  • Experience with AGILE software development processes
  • Experience with Atlassian tools, such as Jira, Confluence, Git/GitLab, etc.
  • Knowledge of test concepts, including automation, data capture, and reporting
