Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures, supervising sonography students, and providing exceptional patient care.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including routine, emergent, and portable examinations, in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Communicating effectively with radiologists and students to ensure accurate diagnoses and patient care.
  • Assisting patients with transportation and providing a safe and comfortable environment for exams.
  • Restocking supplies, cleaning, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Participating in quality assurance functions and other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum three years of experience in diagnostic imaging, with a focus on ultrasound technology.
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited ultrasonography program or two years of previous ultrasound experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Additional Requirements:
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical instruction and student assessment through experience or coursework.
  • Ability to use and apply excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all personnel.
  • Proficient knowledge of ultrasound equipment and exams.
