Job Summary:

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team in a hospital and/or clinical setting. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic ultrasound services, including OB/GYN, abdominal, and vascular superficial structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic procedures using knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the age of the patient served, including routine, emergent, portable, and surgical examinations.
  • Communicate effectively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assist patients and transport them as needed.
  • Review exams, file work, restock supplies, and perform quality assurance functions.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited ultrasonographer program or 2 years of previous ultrasound experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate - Ob-Gyn or Abdomen required from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
  • Sonography Technologist License (Oregon) required.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 1 month of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience performing ultrasound exams, preferably within the last 3 years.
  • Vascular ultrasonographer experience preferred.
  • Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, and technical skills.
