Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist Opportunity

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in Clackamas, Oregon.

Job Summary:

As a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services in a hospital and/or clinical setting. This includes performing routine, emergent, portable, and surgical examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Performing diagnostic procedures using knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the age of the patient served.
  • Communicating with radiologists to ensure accurate and timely results.
  • Assisting patients and transporting them as needed.
  • Reviewing exams, filing work, restocking supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Participating in quality assurance functions and other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited ultrasonographer program or 2 years of previous ultrasound experience.
  • High school diploma or general education development (GED) required.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certificate in Ob-Gyn or Abdomen from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
  • Sonography technologist license (Oregon) and Basic Life Support certification within 1 month of hire.
Additional Requirements:
  • Daily use of diagnostic equipment and imaging and healthcare computer systems.
  • Demonstrating customer-focused service skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and perform exams independently and confidently.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience performing ultrasound exams, preferably within the last 3 years.
  • Vascular ultrasonographer experience preferred.
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) ARDMS certification.
