Job Summary

The SEO Media Specialist at Charter Communications plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation of SEO strategies across multiple sites and platforms. This position involves conducting comprehensive keyword research, recommending on-page and off-page optimizations, and executing technical SEO audits to improve site performance and crawlability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough keyword research to inform on-page and off-page SEO efforts, including Local SEO and GEO targeting.
  • Recommend and implement on-page SEO optimizations, such as meta tags, headings, and content enhancements.
  • Execute off-page SEO tactics, including managing Google My Business, optimizing the Knowledge Graph, and building links.
  • Monitor and analyze SEO and SERP performance metrics, providing detailed reports and insights on the effectiveness of SEO initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Creative team to optimize content for SEO and GEO, ensuring alignment with broader SEO strategies.
  • Perform technical SEO audits and resolve issues related to site performance, crawlability, and indexing.
  • Support competitive landscape analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in front- and back-end search engine optimization with ownership over site performance.
  • Experience with website analytics applications (Adobe Analytics preferred) and SEO tools such as Semrush, ScreamingFrog, Google Search Console.
  • Experience with data analysis, interpretation, presentation, and delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of cable and broadcast television, internet, and media products and services.
  • Interest in television and/or media.
  • Knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Working Conditions
  • Office environment.
  • Minimal travel (~10%) possible.
