CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED; 2 years of experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or a related field.
- 2-year degree from an accredited institution in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related discipline; 1 year of experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or a related field.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Assisting in Managing Meetings and Special Events Operations and Budgets
- Conducts research and analysis of new products, pricing, and services offered by competitors.
- Aids in informing the property about all groups that will affect property operations.
- Supports the execution of the event management strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives.
- Performs daily inspections of the banquet area to ensure client satisfaction and adherence to quality standards.
- Assists in cultivating relationships with external vendors and establishing pricing and service agreements to enhance the event experience and create additional revenue opportunities for the property.
- Identifies opportunities to upsell during the event planning process.
- Aids in managing departmental controllable expenses to meet or exceed budgetary goals.
- Fosters an environment in all event management operations that meets or surpasses guest expectations.
- Sets a positive standard for guest relations.
- Engages with guests to gather feedback on product quality and service levels.
- Addresses and resolves guest issues and complaints.
- Empowers team members to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Ensures team members are aware of expectations and guidelines.
- Strives for continuous improvement in service performance.
- Prioritizes guest satisfaction in all departmental meetings and focuses on ongoing enhancement.
