Job Overview

At The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, we are seeking an experienced Nurse Anesthetist to join our Anesthesiology department. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside exceptional CRNAs and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $200,000 and $270,000, depending on experience. This figure includes additional incentives for the first three years of employment.

Job Description

This role involves administering anesthetic agents and adjunctive therapeutics, monitoring physiological responses, and taking corrective action to maintain or stabilize patients' conditions. You will also be responsible for providing resuscitative care and recording pertinent information on patient records.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree requirements as defined by the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners (TSBNE) for clinical licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
  • Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN) issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.
  • Current State of Texas Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license recognizing the certification for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse CRNA (APRN-CRNA), issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.
  • Certification or recertification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) issued by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
