Medical Laboratory Technologist

Position Overview:
Are you a skilled Medical Lab Professional seeking a new opportunity in your career? LabCorp is looking for dedicated individuals to fill the role of Medical Technologist.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct both automated and manual testing, ensuring proper instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Efficiently manage tasks in a busy environment while adapting to changes.
- Assess specimen acceptability for testing based on established guidelines.
- Execute routine and complex technical procedures in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Monitor and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to maintain functionality.
- Make informed technical decisions regarding testing and problem resolution.
- Prepare and evaluate new reagents or controls, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of test results.
- Perform preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
- Maintain adequate supplies at testing stations and assist with specimen processing as needed.
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and using appropriate personal protective equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a life science or laboratory science/Medical Technology.
- Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
- ASCP certification as a Medical Technologist or equivalent is required.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in computer usage; familiarity with laboratory information systems is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail, along with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must successfully pass a standardized color vision screening.
- Willingness to work overtime or alternate shifts as needed.
