Job Summary

The Volunteer Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in providing comprehensive volunteer opportunities for churches, businesses, and community partners in support of One More Child's vision, mission, values, strategic plan, goals, and development philosophy.

This position requires a strong ability to build relationships and present opportunities to secure partnerships with churches, community groups, and businesses. The coordinator will work closely with the Director of Engagement - Volunteers to create easy and meaningful opportunities for volunteers to engage with One More Child and accomplish the agency's mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and evaluate potential partners to determine the best prospects for cultivation and solicitation.
  • Set annual goals to measure success in all areas and work with the Director to achieve them.
  • Cultivate and solicit different organizations in the community to support One More Child's mission.
  • Develop, promote, and maintain a wide range of volunteer opportunities within the organization.
  • Provide orientation and training for volunteers and maintain a volunteer schedule for individuals and groups.
  • Document all communication and activity with volunteers or potential volunteers and organizations in required databases.
  • Represent One More Child at speaking engagements and events throughout the community, as assigned.
  • Recruit churches, community groups, and businesses for tours, volunteer opportunities, and OMC-Global mission trips.
  • Lead recognition and reward activities that encourage volunteer retention and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Experience with leading teams, public speaking, project management, and relationship development.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience working in a non-profit organization.

  • Personal conversion experience with Jesus Christ and scriptural baptism.
  • Commitment to ministry through vocation.
  • Sincere desire to seek God and His kingdom.
  • Personal and devotional habits and practices such as Bible study, prayer, and daily meditation.
  • Membership in a New Testament, evangelical Church in the local community and regular attendance.
  • Engagement in witness activities as a normal part of life.
