The Audit Data Analytics team at Alaska Airlines is seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Specialist to join their team. As a subject matter expert in data analysis and business intelligence, you will play a critical role in identifying and visualizing risk, highlighting issues, and discovering opportunities to drive Alaska Air Group forward.

You will work closely with the Audit team to analyze data, create dashboards and reports, and blend data sources to provide critical insights. Your expertise in data modeling, research, optimization, project management, and solution design/delivery will be essential in helping the team assess safety, risk, and impact of processes, incidents, and outcomes.

As a Data Analytics Specialist, you will be responsible for developing visualizations grounded in statistical best practices that facilitate effective communication of results and key findings to internal and external customers.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of analytics principles, experience working with disparate data sources, and proficiency in data query tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), TOAD Datapoint, Alteryx, Access, Tableau, etc.

We are looking for a self-starter who takes ownership of their work, excels with minimum supervision, and has a strong disposition for customer service supported by excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.

As a Data Analytics Specialist at Alaska Airlines, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with others, learn from and return value to Finance stakeholders, and contribute to the success of the company.

We offer a competitive salary range of $67,600-$129,600 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.   • Demonstrated experience working with disparate data sources and data blending
  • Adept at dashboard design, charting, and report automation
  • Experience with applied statistics and probability
  • Ability to work well with multiple, diverse teams
  • Data-driven mindset and a proven history of continuous self-development
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 4 years of experience as a business/systems analyst supporting enterprise-level Finance Systems
  • Thorough understanding of the business – both Audit Programs and the Airline
  • Proficient in SQL and experience working with large data sets
  • Expert in visualization techniques, dashboard design, and decision support tools
  • Modeling proficiency in cluster analysis and linear regression
  • Proven conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in data query tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), TOAD Datapoint, Alteryx, Access, Tableau, etc.
