Job Summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team in Everett, Massachusetts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical and research diagnostic molecular imaging testing, including general, cardiac, and PET studies, as well as computer interactions associated with these studies.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients and complete testing, including general, cardiac, and PET studies, research studies, and Computed Tomography imaging as ordered in conjunction with SPECT/PET exams.
  • Screen patients for appropriate indications and contraindications, communicate with providers to facilitate diagnostic exam adjustments, and explain procedures to patients.
  • Perform intra-venous peripheral catheter insertion as authorized by Nuclear Medicine physicians and complete testing for both in and outpatients within various hospital locations.
  • Acquire, process, and reconstruct images as appropriate, label patient images in accordance with ACR requirements, and archive patient data for long-term storage.
  • Ensure radiation safety techniques, including use of protective shielding and handling and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals, and take appropriate precautions to minimize exposure to infectious, radioactive, or biohazard agents.
Requirements
  • Radiologic technologist (Nuclear Medicine) license in the state of Massachusetts.
  • ARRT or NMTCB (NM) certification.
  • ARRT or NMTCB (CT) certification.
  • BS degree in NM Technology or BS in an unrelated field with a certificate in NM Technology.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine.
