Pride Health is seeking a Radiology Specialist in Nuclear Medicine to join our dedicated team. This role is integral to our operations and focuses on delivering high-quality patient care in the field of nuclear medicine.

Position Overview:

In this position, you will work under the guidance of certified radiologists, executing established protocols to perform diagnostic procedures that are essential for accurate interpretation. You will also provide support to radiologists during procedures and oversee the training of student Radiologic Technologists assigned to your care, fostering a positive environment for patient interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement established scanning protocols tailored to individual patient needs and specific examinations.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards, demonstrating a solid understanding of Facility Radioactive Materials (RAM) licensure, exposure control measures, and proper decontamination procedures as per Federal and State regulations.
  • Exhibit expertise in handling radiopharmaceuticals, including their selection, ordering, preparation, storage, and disposal, while maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Administer oral and intravenous radiopharmaceuticals and standard adjunctive medications as permitted, assisting authorized personnel in the administration of therapeutic radionuclides.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of nuclear imaging equipment in accordance with infection control policies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program accredited by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current NMTCB and/or ARRT certification or CNMT.
  • Active state licensure for Nuclear Medicine Technologists.
  • BLS certification from AHA.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday with rotating shifts.

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
