Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Peer Specialist to join our Dual Disorder Treatment Team. As a Peer Specialist, you will provide non-clinical support to individuals in the community, serving as a role model for recovery values and principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide non-clinical support to individuals in the community, promoting recovery and wellness.
  • Develop and implement stage-wise treatment interventions based on the consumer's stage of change.
  • Collaborate with the Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment Team to provide community-based services to adults with mental health and co-occurring disorders.
Requirements
  • Self-identify as an individual with a serious mental illness, who is currently or formerly was a recipient of mental health services, is in the process of his/her/their recovery and has successfully completed training in illness management recovery interventions.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current certification as a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) or willingness to obtain within twelve months of hire.
  • Lived experience in drug and/or alcohol recovery.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to drive an organization vehicle.
  • Act 33/34/73 Clearances (Criminal/Child/FBI Department of Human Services).
  • Pre-Employment Drug Screen.
  • Child Protective Services Law training (CPSL).
