We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Peer Specialist to join our Dual Disorder Treatment Team. As a Peer Specialist, you will provide non-clinical support to individuals in the community, serving as a role model for recovery values and principles.
Key Responsibilities- Provide non-clinical support to individuals in the community, promoting recovery and wellness.
- Develop and implement stage-wise treatment interventions based on the consumer's stage of change.
- Collaborate with the Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment Team to provide community-based services to adults with mental health and co-occurring disorders.
- Self-identify as an individual with a serious mental illness, who is currently or formerly was a recipient of mental health services, is in the process of his/her/their recovery and has successfully completed training in illness management recovery interventions.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current certification as a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) or willingness to obtain within twelve months of hire.
- Lived experience in drug and/or alcohol recovery.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to drive an organization vehicle.
- Act 33/34/73 Clearances (Criminal/Child/FBI Department of Human Services).
- Pre-Employment Drug Screen.
- Child Protective Services Law training (CPSL).
